4 Years Mathematics | Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, upper-level Math |
4 Years Language Arts | Easy Grammar, Daily Grams, Wordly Wise, Word Roots, Writing Curriculum, Analogies, Spelling |
4 Years Literature | Specific Skills Series, Literature Guide Books, Reading Comprehension, Outside Reading, etc. |
4 Years Science | Physical Science, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, 1 Science with Lab is required |
4 Years History | World History, American History, Geography, Government (1/2 credit), Real World Economics (required for graduation and ½ credit) |
4 Years Logic | Brain Builder, Analogies, Building Thinking Skills, James Madison Series, Mind Benders, etc. |
2 Years Foreign Language | 4 years suggested and two languages, if possible, Sign Language is an option |
2 Years Keyboarding | Typing and Keyboarding |
2 Years PE/Health | Red Cross, CPR, Babysitting Class, Sports, Running Program, Martial Arts, Other After-School programs. At least ½ credit in Health |
1 Year Music | Piano Lessons, Music Appreciation, Music History, Music Theory, Band, Voice Lessons, Violin Lessons, etc. |
1 Year Art | Art Lessons, Art History, Art Appreciation, etc. |
Electives | Driver’s Education, 4H Teaching, Computer Technology, Philosophy Computer Programming, Community Service, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, Church Activities |
* 135 contact hours = 1 year = 1 credit
* Testing and Passing in a certain area = 1 credit
* CLEP Testing = 1 credit
* Taking college course can qualify as 1 credit
